Yes but it was not my fault. Some idiot let two dogs run free across the road from his home. They were running back to the house thru some tall grass and ran right in front of my car while I was going 40 mph. I had no time to stop to prevent it. It wasn't bad enough that I was saddened by what had happened, the owner tried to place the blame on me. No way. Laws in this state and it's cities require that dogs be on a leash at all times unless they are fenced in in the owner's yard. Two beautiful animals killed because the owner did not protect them. Owner was fined.

I lived in the boonies in the south and there would always be wild animals jump out in front of you as you are driving. I remember it was dark, a little rainy ( no street lights) and a large deer ran out in front of us. I believe we nicked it.
Another time.....many times posums, snakes and frogs are always on the roads. I think they liked the coolness of the roads at night.
Of corse you always try to avoid them. Sometimes you cant help it, but you dont want to end up in a ditch either !

Intentionally - plant-lice, mosquitos, some fleas, some beetles.
Some non-intentionally too, but I would not enumerate them, because I did not see them. E.g. insects washing salads, ants on the road, etc. Some surely died because of waste, as the city had no proper cleaning equipment. Many many animals, in total.

I just put my cat to sleep yesterday. Hardest thing I ever had to do. Poor baby had kidney failure and i can't believe the vet didn't catch it at the visit 3 weeks ago.

I hit a rabbit once while driving down a country road. I swerved to miss it but it swerved in the same direction. Made me sick.
Yeah, I stopped and moved it's body to the ditch so another vehicle wouldn't squash it.

I'll interest you with a information. I am a hindu..... If you o not believe in God just forget wat I am telling........Killing is a crime....isn't it?..........killing small ants itself is a big crime.....what would you feel if someone kills a human in front of you just like that! The same way the kith and kin of the animal killed feel! So think about your feelings in term of the animal's feelings.........

When I was a child, we had kittens. My cousin and I had "fun" once, twirling a kitten in my sisters hat.. until one of the straps broke. The cat went flying and hit our Vibraphone. It started flailing around, it's head lolling about. I stopped it from moving by holding it's head. It died of a broken neck. I stopped having "fun" with kittens after that.
