Where does outer space end?

Question

There has to be some end.....

how can their be nothing.... doesn't make any sense.... nothing is totally abstract

if it is expanding, what is it expanding into??..

the spacetime is finite yet has no edge and no center. it may be something like the two dimensional surface of a sphere. anything inside or outside the sphere exists for the surface. nothing exists outside spacetime in this model. the universe did not begin in empty spacetime. spacetime began with the universe.

I think I read many years ago that Einstein believe that if you were to head outward into space on the straightest course possible (which can't really work in curved space-time), you would eventually circle around and end up where you started. Something like -- we are riding the outside of a bubble, and there is literally nothing beyond it.

If the Big Bang theory is true, the universe is not infinite and has an end.
