He's the best of the current cartoon characters. But not the best of all time. The Looney Tunes characters (Wiley Coyote, especially) are great. And Mickey Mouse has been named by many cartoon professionals as the greatest cartoon character of all time (although he's not that popular nowadays).

Hell no. you got South Park kids, Family Guy characters (greased up deaf guy). There are a lot better than spongebob.

Spongebob is the best cartoon character..I love watchin him and Patrick. They make you feel like there's nuthin wrong wit havin fun and doin wat u love to do. Just being urself
