You can't get rid of it. It's part of your emotional makeup. However, there are many techniques you can use to control it. You have to learn how to delay your emotional response to stressful situations through breathing, etc.

Short term count to ten. Slightly longer term eat something. Very long term eat and exercise..... Oh, and imagine that everything is just calm and nice.

I've a broken nose and broken knuckes [boxers fractures] so you can imagine that I too had a problem with it.

Breathe in.... and breathe out. Regain composure and eat chocolate if you need help. Watch a funny movie and you'll get over it.
