Is it bearing grapes this year? Probably, if it's 3 years old. Just leave them on the vine until they ripen which will probably be September-October.

If it's a white grape they won't turn red, of course, but will turn slightly more transparent.

This is mostly out of your hands and more to do with the growing season - which will vary slightly each year. Grapes need a long ripening season, too cold or too wet too soon and they won't ripen. Grapes under glass do better (depending on where u live).

You could try building a 'greenhouse' around it with builders polythene over a wooden frame, remember to allow plenty of ventilation or it'll go mouldy. Later in the season as the nights get cooler you could double glaze the cover.
If its near a south facing wall, and if its the right variety you should be ok.

I got a vine that was planted in a corner of the garden (forgotten corner) 5 years back. total uncared for.....grown wild between over the shoulder height stinging nettles. I found it last week and it has a profusion of 'small' bunches and looks like it will do me proud this year...
