Anyone know of any mortgage companies that give up to 5 times your salary?

I have a sole mortgage at the moment, have a partner but dont want a joint mortgage. we could easily afford the repayments on a mortgage of 5 times my salary but the lenders often only go to 3.5 times the salary.

Could I say that they lodge with me and put it down as additional income

See a professional mortgage consultant, there are Lenders that will do five times salary, self cert etc, but your personal circumstances have to be considered. I wouldn't get involved with teling lenders about lodgers, seek professional advice sweet or you could fall at the start. K

Rental income for your personal residence will probably not be considered. I think that a mortgage of 3.5 times your salary is too big a mortgage to have. You will probably be paying so much in interest that it will takes years and years to build up any equity.
I recommend that people do not get mortgages more than 2.5 times their salary.

Quote from www.the-mortgage-brokers.com website:

"We also have 125% mortgages available. The extra funds above the purchase price can be used for any legal purpose, eg. home improvements, debt consolidation etc. The scheme also offers high income multipliers which depend on income and the credit score pass achieved. These are:

Joint application - Between 4 and 5.4 times combined annual income
Single application - Between 4.5 and 5.9 times single annual income"
