Why is there a spanish translation at the DMV when Driving signs are in English only?

It's not just Spanish. Most DMV forms can be found in multiple languages Although they may not be out in the open for everyone to see, they are available by request.

If you notice, most traffic signs have very distinctive shapes, colors etc... and if they use words they are short, easily pronounced words. (STOP) This is done purposefully so that if the driver is illiterate, or does not completely comprehend English - they can at least remember what the sign itself means.

It is to help our LEGAL immigrants attain a tool necessary for the American dream. Also, to make sure they understand the laws of the road here in the US. I mean seriously, rules change here from state to state, (Example: right turns on red) you don't think there might be some differences from the laws in their country?

Give me a break with all this "American Dream" sillyness. The reason DMV forms are in Spanish is to appease Spanish-speaking voters.

Because you will have to learn spanish for when the liberals give the U.S. over to Mexico.
