it's a piece of pee...
Brilliant signposting in Europe unlike at home...
Follow the E40 across the border into Belgium, it's still signed E40 - the E stands for European route, When you reach the borough of Gent, you need to follow the E17 for Antwerp, after you go through Kennedy tunnel beneath the canal, you are on the Antwerp 'Ring' road - you'll need your wits about you here, it moves very fast most of the time but even if it doesn't, there's plenty of cretins to keep you on your toes! Follow for the E19 then shortly after the services, the E34 direction Eindhoven, through the Netherlands and across into Germany, still on the E34 past Duisburg into Dortmund. As I've said, it's well signposted, you can't go wrong & this is a route used by the military (Brits) all the time on their way to majority of BF bases.
Allow 3.5 to 4 hrs in a car, with plenty of wee wee stops. Avoid the lay bys near motorway exits in Belgium, they're full of pervs! Unless that's your sort of thing, of course.
