A pop band or an acoustic rock band. I would love to play bass for Jewel's band, although she is kinda a solo artist. I think she should start a fully-recognized band. I would also not mind playing for Robert Plant's new band, "Strange Sensation."
Anyway it would be a band where my playing isn't overwhelmed by the vocalist screaming their head off or the distorted guitars overpowering. I mean, you can hardly hear the bass drum or bass guitar in some of these recordings...

Probably either Depeche Mode or New Order. Both bands are legendary, known all over the world. One problem- I can't play an instrument apart from some vague stuff on a thereminvox (weird instrument that you don't even need to touch to play!) so I would be officially useless.

I would love to be a member of Radiohead, however owing to my lack of musical talent I'd probably let the band down. It'd be absolutely amazing travelling around the world and performing, it'd be quite something.
