My best friend is bipolar. They didn't know at first, but last year she went into a fit of convulsions on the floor and she was screaming and crying and then five minutes later she was back on the floor laughing. She has bipolar disorder bad. She got treatment and medication and she hasn't done that but once. You should go to the doctor(phychologist). They will do test. They will probably also give you a depression test and they will see what you think about yourself(self-esteem and conscious). It might be stressful and they might give you a therapist, but everyone is really nice, your probably wondering how I know, I have went with her to a lot of her appointments, it helps her I think. Well , hope this helped and encouraged you to see a doctor, Good Luck

Go to a Dr, tell him EVERYTHING, don't hold back. In the mean time you can find tons of ligitimate tests on the internet if you Google Bipolar Disorder Tests.

The best way to tell if you have bipolar is to find a licensed psychologist who specializes in bipolar disorder and have them evaluate you to determine if you do have it. They may then refer you to a psychiatrist, who will then prescribe you medication for it.
You could go directly to a psychiatrist, but I find psychologist to be better because they don't want to fix everything with drugs like psychiatrists!
You can find a licensed psychologist in your area by going to the APA web site (srry...can't remember it off the top of my head but just do a search for the american psychological association)

I have bi-polar 1. You act outwardly like you can handle everything, but within your own mind, you feel like you are a fraud and everyone will find out. Publically, you are a ball of energy, many creative ideas, and you do everything to make things happen. Your alone, or what I call the dark spiral, times are filled with dread, anxiousness, and self-doubt.
You are more likely to be a creature of addiction.(Whatever that addiction may be).

You can be praised for something, and your mind tells you that it is just a scheme you pulled off, and they are going to hate you tomorrow! And you wait for it to happen. For those of us who are bi-polar, we know there seems to be no middle ground. Your highs are euphoric, and your lows are completely consuming.

A bi-polar needs understanding family and friends, or good therapy, and\or meds. Is this what you are going through?

You need to go to a psychiatrist. They can do tests on you and find out by talking to you.
