If you do not have love in your life I am pretty confident that it would be an unhappy one. Even knowing that you are loved by someone, and that God loves you too, makes all the difference in the world. It means you are not alone.
Even though people who you love can hurt you, at the end of the day there are others out there who will love with unconditional, positive regard.

Yes, it's what makes the world go round. Love is the trick that God/Mother Nature plays on us that makes us go against the primeval instinct of the Ego to always put yourself first. If everyone did that then men would not make good fathers ( because they would be off having sex with other woman making more children and not looking after them ) and women would not make good mothers (because they would be tying their kids to the bed to go out and drink Gin with local bad boys )
