As fun as it is experiencing loads of stuff, sometimes I take a step back and look at us and go: "Whoa! We're way screwed, aren't we?"

Interesting responses, guys. What I meant to ask was that do you wish we were less limited? More perfect perhaps? Less prone to weaknesses and faults? Here's a scary thought... Do you suppose that's what Satan wanted when he thought about being God? Self-sufficient and unlimited?

I often do, especially as the years go bye bye. There are just so many things out there that would give me a thrill, but now I can't do most of them do to my back injury.I so wanted to go on survivor or the amazing race, but am not sure if I could do anything like that anymore. I hope some of our dreams can come true.

[UPDATE: Sat. Jul. 8, 2006 - To answer the question according to your clarifying statement: In some ways I do wish that we were not fallen. It would be nice to never have experienced Sin, and therefore experience toil, pain, bitterness, hatred, death. A life without weakness and fault would certainly make me feel better about myself! I'm a very flawed individual, and I hate disappointing people and, more importantly, God.

I think your analysis regarding Satan and God is spot-on. Lucifer's error in Heaven was thinking he could be "as God." It was pride of the highest order. What is pride? Nothing more than the arrogance of belief in self, and self alone. Self suffiency...unlimited power, unlimited knowledge, unlimited wealth, unlimited presence of life...these were the delusions of Lucifer. These ARE the delusions of Man. The consequence of such delusions is a world that looks much like the one we live in now.

Having said all this, I still really wouldn't trade all that I am, the way I am, today for an unattainable perfection of the past. It's my very human limitations, weaknesses, flaws that drive me to my knees before God. Because of my sin, I know God's grace all the more. Why would I need Him, otherwise? Some say God is a crutch; I say God is a Life Preserver, thrown out on the tumultuous sea of life to my desperately grabbing hands. ]

I don't believe there is anything "more." My viewpoint comes from the Judeo-Christian concept that Man is God's greatest creation on Earth, so I'm already "more." However, God has given us imagination. So, in the spirit of your question, if I could be an animal for a day...

I've always thought it'd be way cool to be a bird! Like a seagull, an eagle or a hawk. The idea of flying and being free like that just seems so awesome. I've had many very realistic feeling dreams about flying...zooming over fields of wildflowers and grain, soaring over jagged mountain peaks, racing in V formation with my fellow avians. How much cooler could it get?!

DISCLAIMER: For the animal lovers and activists out there, please don't get upset with me for saying Man is the greatest creation. It's not meant to be an insult to animals, nor an arrogant statement. I absolutely LOVE animals. I just love humans more. : )

Have you ever found yourself in a painful conversation that spells like egg-vomit? and you just stay there with a big stupid smile and deal with it out of kindness - b'cause that's one way of showing kindness??? or you're a nice freak-ing person?? with educating views on this Urban jungle we live in....

It is what it is, and this is who I am. Acceptance has set me free. And what's more important is that I continue to grow no matter how old I get ... to become a better person today and tomorrow than what I was yesterday ... for myself and my fellow man ... and one day after I take my last breath, I will reincarnate into a cute little kitten ... or perhaps a new baby, and the process starts all over again! Wow, isn't life grand?!

I'm not sure...being human is a good thing I guess, I would just like to do away with some of the frailties that plague us. But then again, isn't that what makes us human in the first place?

we are very screwed... But there accually is a little secret us humans are about to discover really soon. Its very exiting accually, It is too long to explain in the message. But for some of us, we will have more than just being human if we are dareing, disiplened and flexible enough for it.

Sometimes I wish I were a bird. They don't really have any worries. They don't have to worry about bills and stuff like that. They only have to watch out for getting hit or eaten, but I am glad to be human. But it must be nice not to have to worry.

Being human makes me imperfect. Perfection for me can be too boring. Human is fine, maybe I wish I would be less human, to be less complicated.

Yes humanity is good, we are the higher of our species, but our mortal humanest is from the nature of say the devil, we just need to rebuke that.
