I'd recommend that you ask your physical therapist for advice. I haven't had surgery, but ripped the tendons in both knees before fencing and had to go to phys therapy for months. I'm sure there are certain yoga patterns that you can do, but not others. My guess is that you need to build strength, but carefully. My therapist gave me workout sheets to take home. While you're on limited exercise, you might want to reduce your calorie intake so that you don't gain weight.

Not sure about yoga but,
There is an upper body bicycle that works well. I used one when I had both knees scoped and a back injury.
