Garden State, I just totally identify with it, there is this pool scene where Zach Braff talks about Home, When the House you grew up in isn't home anymore, and I get that, recently moving out, and its witty, I recommend it to anyone, really funny without the toilet bowl humor.

I'd say my favourite movie would be Léon, which I think has a different name in the USA, but I don't know what that name is.

I first saw it when I was 12, and it shocked the hell out of me, so much so, I actually cried on a few occasions lol.

But another good movie I'd recommend is Romper Stomper. It's set back in the Skinheads vs "Chinks" era, where there were continuous turf-wars between the 2 groups. Well worth watching, if you like your movies crude that is :)

Carousel has to be the greatest as it covers all aspects of life.-The shawshank redemption was a good movie but never was and cannot be rated as a classic,GHOST is in the maybe list but i still dont think it will make the classical listing--actualy,,What ever happened to Patrick swazy(wrong spelling) and demmi moore, havent seen them since ghost,--did they elope or some thing or was it one of those movies that earned them so much money --they retired.??

Hustle & Flow because is based on everyday modern stuff. Especially in the hood. It's like true of a rapper trying to make it big. Most rappers actually go through those kind of things in the movie.

its difficult to select one out of several outstanding movies but i think in my case it might be LAST TANGO IN PARIS!....for some people it could be one of the most vulgar movies from mainstream cinema but for me this movie is the eternal proof of Brando,s genius and irrefutable testimony of him being the greatest actor of all time...an actor,s greatst accomplishment is to prevent his acting seem like acting and by doing this flawlessly;Brando has reached where no other actor has;the pinnacle of perfection!....perfection might not exist but Brando was the only one, who got as much close to it as anyone could imagine.
Bertolucci,s direction is awesome and i just couldn,t understand that why the hell Brando and Beetolucci were not awarded Oscars for thier unforgettable contribution to cinema(may be political motives;bcoz Brando had declined the Oscar for The GodFather just a year ago!)
in short, this movie is one of the greatest of all times and surely not to be missed.

Braveheart. The simple idea of fight for freedom is also timeless. Of course it helps that I'm of a Scottish clan.
