I know I`m marrying the one I can`t live without but I was wondering what your thoughts are on this issue.
Do people get married to escape loneliness? Or do they get marry because they truly love the other person?

You marry the one you can't live without. I believe that marriage is a sacred bond between two people who truly love each other and are meant to be together.

In my opinion people are just searching for that happiness that everyone else seems to have. It seems that with we women inparticular we are so quick to think that our happiness can be found through another when infact unless we are truly happy with ourselves, that we feel good in our own skin so to speak than a small part of us will never fully be satisfied. I think that after 15 years of marriage that I've realized that noone can determine your happiness but you and that marriage is not always the answer to loneliness of unfullfillment but yet if you are at a place in your life that you love yourself that you will know that marriage is right for you because even in the moments that you spend alone you feel surrounded by more love than you've ever known. If it's truly about love than you can feel that persons prescence with you no matter how far away they might be.

Do not marry either one. The one you are with shows you like him for convenience. The one you cannot live without shows infatuation. Both are very unhealthy scenarios.
Find someone you can spend at least seventy years together. If you cannot see it in any guy, keep looking until you do. Do not compromise, for you will regret it down the road.

I beleive people marry to escape lonliness. Anybody can truly love anybody they choose if they are willing to sacrifice their own time, energy, money, and even freedom for the person they love in an effort to prove their love to them. But for love to endure the other persone must be willing to make the same sacrifices to prove their love to us. "Greater love has no one than this, that they lay down there life for a friend"

Oh..its the other way...when we marry we should marry the one we can live with...after marriage...when we show undonditional love towards each other...then 'we' become the one you cant live without..

You love somebody truely for the sake of your own self as the Indian seer Yaajnabalkya puts it. Because you cannot live without your self, you love and marry the one you cannot live without.

People dont marry cause they r lonely they marry the person they love. i'll marry the person whom i love not cause i m lonely cause i cant live without him.
