My eyelids, almost up to my eyebrows have become darkened. Is this normal for women as we age? What can I do to minimize this? I don't like the aging effects of it. I don't wear makeup, but maybe I should use some sort of a concealer? I don't know much about makeup, so could use some advice regarding this.

Yes, it is common among older white women.

Try a very pastel yellow cream shadow. I use a "highlighter pallete" from Avon. You could use it without other makeup if you like, as long as you blend it well. It will make the whole eye area look brighter, more awake and fresher.

Be sure to use one that has a very flat color, without any frost, as the frost highlights wrinkles and creases. Also, use a night cream designed for the eye area to keep the skin smoother.
