my husband+i have been seperated 4 7mths. he just told me he is using cocaine. how can i tell if he really is?

he says he does it with a buddy +doesn't buy it himself. isn't it very expensive?

It has always been expensive. Can be cheaper in crack form but even more addictive. If you were thinking about getting back togeather, testing kits can be bought in drug stores.

Why would he say he is if he isn't? Is he looking for sympathy from you so you'll take him back? Or is he confiding in you, reaching out for help? Yes, it is expensive - not to mention HIGHLY addictive. He needs to admit he's got a problem and perhaps go to at least speak to his doctor for the proper direction. I have no doubt that this is hard for you also, but you must not let yourself become an enabler.

If he is really using tell him to clean himself up. He must voluntarily check into a rehab facility and stay clean, have regular testing if he wants there to be an us (you and him) ever again.
Ispeak from experience..used (snorted) cocaine from 1977-1991.
Been totally drug free through today! Oh and I spent approx. $250,000 on drugs

You are separated, why are you worried about what your husband is doing or what it costs or with who? you separated for a reason, what ever it was , here is another reason to stay separated and get a divorce. As far as I would be concerned if I was in your shoes, even if I loved him, its his life now, he can do what he wants. You however now more than ever should want to stay out of it.

Who cares??? Just make sure he pays alimony/and or child support, which you can get the state to go after him for........

yeah, pretty sure it cost alot...weight loss, his mood, big hint, he doesn't sleep, his eyes are glossy. I was around people who did that growing up and it sucked. Take care of yourself.
