Well, as far as I am concerned, Football is still a Sport.
But the question you are really asking here is: Is the modern overpaid professional Sport (of all kinds, and not just Football) still Sport?
Here I tend to agree with you. The millions and billions that are pumped into the modern mass media sporting events have ruined the spirit of true sportsmanship and turned the whole scene into nothing more than a branch of show business.
Nevertheless there are plenty of decent people left who play their Sport every week as amateurs without getting a single penny for it. That includes many good and decent footballers.

I reckon it's getting better. Maybe 12 years ago world cup matches were horrible, endless cheating, playacting, cynical fouls, all that stuff. It still goes on but the refs are getting better guidance and are implementing it better. There are still horrors - like the three yellow cards in the Croatia game (not sorry they're out) - but this world cup has been a lot better than previous ones.
The current world champions win most of their matches by playing seriously beautiful football. That incident last time round with Rivaldo going down like a poisoned Romeo in the Brazil-England game was unusual for Brazil. They mostly lead by example. O Jogo Bonito.

Football is no longer a sport. Just look at it, you can buy shares in your favourite team, you can watch t.v on there own channels (for a large fee) and you can even get insurance from on of there company's. Football has become a business and a big one at that.

If you're talking about the Ghana players hamming it up toward the end of the US game, I don't think that was very sportsmanlike. But then again I couldn't be running around like that for an hour and a half.

Not really. It's basically a business, based on the "trickle up" model. Millions of spectators pay to watch a few hundred millionaires play.
Edit: I thought your were referring to American football. If it's soccer, then I don't know enough about it to answer the question.
