I am a Christian. ( I do not condone of denominations of Christianity because I believe it pulls us all apart, when we should all be the body of Christ), so I simply state myself as a Christian, nothing more specific. I believe the way I do, because for one: I was raised around Christianity, two, The Bible seems to me to be best explanation of our existance (the big bang theory is just ridiculous. Things aren't created out of a catastrophy. "If there is a design, There is a designer"), and three, I have personally felt the spirit of God. He has spoke to me and he has carried me through troublesome times. If it wasn't for him...I would not be here. You get great peace and joy by knowing that God is always with you. An athiest must get very lonely. God also heals! An athiest has never healed a fatal desease. There are so many things that God is capable of doing that we can't, and that is why we need him. You may have unanswered questions or things that you don't understand, but that is simply because you don't have the mind capable of handling the answer. Things will be revealed in due time according to God's plan. I don't know everything, but if your not a Christian and you are interested in finding out more about it. Please contact me, and I will talk with you personally. It's just an invitation! :-)

i'm christian for a number of reasons. i was raised in a deeply religious household. everyone i ever knew until i got to high school was christian. it's what i know and it's ingrained in me. also...science just hasn't given me a good enough reason to believe in it as opposed to christianity. sure, the beginning of the bible is a little sketchy on the details of creation...but science isn't much better. big bang? get real. the big bang makes about as much sense to me as creationsim. both of them have something being brought forth from a void. how'd it get there? christianity does better explaining the how (vague, though it may be) than science. and who knows? i personally have a belief that there might be some truth to the science. i wasn't there when the earth was created. i don't know how things happened when God did his thing. it could've been a bang. all i know is that we exist, we feel, and we create. and we humans are set apart from the billions of other species on this earth. if science were true, there would have to be more highly evolved species on earth just roaming about than humans. we are the only life forms on this planet that have evolved at such a highly explosive rate, creating mindboggling (when it all boils down to it) technologies and inventions. no other species has done that. we didn't evolve like that by chance.
wrapping it up, because i could go on forever, i feel that humans were made to worship something. every ancient civilization on this earth felt the need to worship some higher power. from the aztecs in central america to the egyptiansin africa (who both worshipped the sun, along with a lot of other civilizations), it's just in us. i don't think there's that much coincidence in the world. my religion of choice is christianity. that isn't to say that i'm right in worshipping the way i do and that someone else is wrong.

I'm an Atheist, because God told me He doesn't exist. I didn't believe Him because if He didn't exist, He would be unable to tell me so. Upon informing Him of this, God disappeared in a puff of logic, and ceased to exist.
Knowing that God had existed previously, I set about trying to reconcile His former existence with His current absence. Upon realizing that He is the beginning and end, it was simply a matter of deducing that upon His end, His beginning ceased to exist as well.
Having settled the matter of Alpha and Omega, I was still troubled. As Alpha = A, and Omega = Z; I pondered B - Y. "How", I thought, "could B - Y exist if A & Z do not?" Coming to no conclusions, I settled onto the couch to watch The Price Is Right. As I sat vegging in front of the television, I was inspired by the gameshow.
B - Y are parting gifts.

I'm a christian (pentecostal).
Why?
Well, I never cared about God and stuff like that. But then my atheist brother started to change. He was acting "strange" (he was kinder, more patient etc) and he started to get healed from a kind of disease, which he had since he was 3. Then one spring I visited him in his house. he started to tell me about how God changed his life. I was shocked:)...but I got excited and wanted to know what can change my brother like that. So I started to attend a local congregation, met great people, great young people, people full of joy, kindness, love. I started to pray and read the Bible. And so here I am with an almighty God protecting me from anything, a God, who is my father in Heaven, and I know He loves me. I would encourage you to try Him. Trust me He can do anything:)
God bless ya! Have a nice day!

I think I'm a Christian and I believe in it because they were PROOF that God existed. Josh McDowell (a fellow Christian and an author of "More Than a Carpenter") came to our school to speak during our chapel and he said that one day because of God, his father stopped drinking and stopped on alcohol. He's a GREAT speaker and it really made me believe in God even more. And why not believe in him? If you believe in Him then you go to Heaven! And are there other religions where you go to Heaven or a great place if you believe in that/those god/gods? If there aren't (I hope not), then just remind yourself to believe in God because He's going to bring you to a great place.
God made me happy when my dad passed away. I never really knew him and my Christian school is really helpful. I always cried everyday before and now I don't really.

I am proud to have no religion. I accept the term 'secular humanist' but I don't consider it a religion. I believe that religion is to humanism as sickness is to cure.
I believe in humanity because it is the only thing worth believing in and the only thing worth fighting for.

"Religion is something left over from the infancy of our intelligence, it will fade away as we adopt reason and science as our guidelines." -Bertrand Russell
I believe in that. But I also believe that not having a religion doesn't mean I can't have a God. God could be my consciousness. Or, my consciousness could be a prophet that could lead me to God.
I suppose my "approach" to nourish my belief in God could be called a religion.

I'm a Methodist and I believe that God is up there, controlling everything because He knows everything. Things happen because He planned them that way. He's always been there for me, He's my comfort and my guide and I'm so grateful to be one of His children whom He loves unconditionally.

I am an Atheist. I do not believe in and 'gods' or 'God.'
I do not agree or will follow the teachings/culture.
They do not have proof any of it exists.
The bibles and exodus's or whatever aren't proof enough.
