Lets assume that the guitar lessons are a guarantee of talent and entry into the music industry eventually...So, then, which should I choose? I only have enough to afford one. I can always do one, then the other later, I know, but lets theorize that I will not end up pursuing both in the end. I know people always say, "It's not what is outside, but what is inside that counts," but are you willing to say that, yet again, to a guy who is 24 and has always been single? I don't think it is my looks that are a deterrent, but I'm probably average when it comes to looks, and my personality certainly doesn't do anything to compensate. I assume that if the surgery enhances my appearance enough, my life will change. So, I'm at a crossroad right now, looking for opinions...Your very answer may be how I determine which to get!

DEFINITELY GUITAR LESSONS. YOU CAN'T USE COSMETIC SURGERY WHEN YOU'RE 75 BUT YOU CAN STILL PLAY THE GUITAR. =)

hmm, that's a very interesting question. Guitar lessons will not automatically get you a future in music. It will definitely be a good idea if that is what you want to do with your life. You will most likely become more popular that way. You would have to know some other people that are musically talented to start a band though. Guitar lessons would definitely be a lot cheaper than surgery. If you got cosmetic surgery you would probably end up being more confident and be more outgoing. If I had the money I would get guitar lessons, just because I've always wanted to.
Oh and James Blunt is one of my favorite singers. I think he looks hot, but I bet if he couldn't sing and play the guitar I wouldn't think so.

Another vote for guitar lessons. But seriously, you are assuming a great deal if you think guitar lessons guarantee a music career...but it is a noble goal.

It is amazing how much better we look when we have something to offer. Think of some of the most talented people you know, even Mick Jagger is a good example. He isn't exactly "good looking" to most, but he has been rocking the planet for a VERY LONG TIME!

I believe U should go 4 guitar classes. Ur knowledge is urs. No one can take it away. If someone is good looking then they haven't achieved anything that's the way God has made them. OK! looks matter but U cannot compromise knowledge. After ur surgery if u meet an accident u'll have nothing but in case of guitar the knowledge will always b there. If u would b good at guitar may be that would attract people towards u.

Get the guitar lessons. They're much more useful than the plastic surgery.
You're right, it's what's inside that counts, not the outside. But (to me, at least) skill in music is a much better turn on than a good looking face.
If their personalities were the same, I'd rather date an ugly gentleman who's a guitar genius than a handsome gentleman who has no skill in music.

That would pretty much depend on your appearance.
If you are already thinking about the surgery, something must be very bad. If so - then surgery. You will, i think be happier getting up every morning and lookng at your self. Not as much would you be looking for guitar lessons. Plus you dont even know if you are good at playing guitar or not.
Surgery would be my answer

Guitar lessons first ..... people adore you for your talent, then it could help you earn some money by teaching on the side. By then you'd have enough money for your cosmetic surgery!

The guitar lessons. You need to think about the surgery more. What if something goes drastically wrong, then what?
