Middlebury and Bennington are the best colleges in Vermont.
Both are highly selective, and applicants should be in the top tenth of their class, have outstanding SAT scores and GPAs, superb letters of recommendation, and special qualities or skills that set them apart from the crowd.

UVM (University of Vermont) is also a great school, and while still selective in terms of admission, will admit students with slightly lower GPAs and SATs.
