People think it's a sin to like the same sex. Or just because 'Homosexuality is a sin'
Other people don't like it because they think it's gross to think the same gender think they're 'hawt.'
And hun, there is nothing wrong with them. They are humans just like us, they do the same things we do. They are a part of society.

Nothing is wrong with gays or lesbians. They only like the members of the same sex. Straight people are usually afraid and intolerant of gay people because they have this fear of either being "recruited" by a gay person, or getting hit on by another person of the same sex.
Gays and Lesbians aren't stupid or audacious enough to go and hit on a member of the same sex, especially when there's a good possiblity the person might be straight (look straight, acts straight, etc.). They always want to know for sure if the other person is gay or lesbian. Ballpark areas work, too... but you won't seem an effeminate gay guy make a pass at a butchy football player.
There's nothing wrong with gay or lesbian people. I know a whole bunch of them and they're pretty sweet people. Sure, I don't like the stereotypes associated with gays and lesbians too much, but I'm not very fond of straight-person stereotypes, either.
A gay guy is a normal guy. Some have the same interests as a stereotypical straight-guy... like loving sports, cars, porn, etc. But there are also some gay guys who don't have the same interests as a stereotypical straight-guy. They might love to dance, sing, cook, and do other sterotypical female activites. They might even talk in a female-like voice. This doesn't make them different from anyone else. They're still human beings.
If you know some gays or lesbians who are as*holes, then that's exactly what they are... as*holes. It's not the fact that all gays and lesbians are bastards... just the people who you might have distasteful encounters with. But do everyone a favor... when meeting and becoming friends with another human being, regardless if they're gay or not, remember to keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself. You might be incredibly offensive to someone, but not realize it. This is what might make them act so b*tchy in front of you. :-)
They're still human. Treat them with respect. You'll get treated with respect right on back.

We don't fit the preconceived view of normal so we are seen as abnormal or deviant and any thing that deviates from the norm might somehow be able to cause another person to deviate from the norm and therefore it may be contagious. Now rationally you know that you can not become gay. No one can chose to be gay, but if you don't choose to be that way then God must have made you that way and if God could do that to you than he might do it to their offspring and that is not a happy prospect. The life they would then have to lead would be one of persecution and or secrecy. This in their view can not be a good thing. So in their mind it is better to deny that God could have made the person that way and they have to say it is a choice. It makes their world view more comfortable because if it is a choice then they have control over it and if they have control over it then life will always be good for them and theirs'. This is why every day there are 15 posts about "How come homos choose to be gay?"

to the guy with the orangutan face up there,
WE ARE INTROVERTS????
now THAT'S something new! have you even went to a gay bar or lesbian bar before? i wouldn't think so, cuz if you did, you wouldn't have made such an ignorant comment!
we have at least a few lesbians and gays as prominent figures who holds key positions in the society, i would not associate that kind of success with "us being introverts" so please do your research 1st before you make sweeping statements like that.
and to the maker of the question above;
there is nothing wrong with "liking your own gender". i know loads of people who are homophobic. this usually rears its ugly head when a bunch of people go on a budget trip together and are forced to stay together to save cost.
they are paranoid about me (lesbian) stealing glances at them or I'll peek when they change or I'll grab their boobs when we all are asleep or things like that..... classic paranoia psychosis!
i guess they want to keep away from us "just to make sure" we don't hit on them. i guess you just need to find another set of friends that are tolerant towards your lifestyle. or if you find it hard, maybe try to get gay friends 1st and then venture out of your comfort zone...
hope this helps ;) and good luck!!

People are afraid of things they don't understand and that are different. There's nothing wrong with same gender relationships. Remember, in the U.S., not so long ago, it was illegal in most states--northern and southern--for a white person and black person to get married. And many people used the Bible to support this. But that has changed.

Oh, they're scared you will try to seduce them or 'recruit' them. Many gay guys find good long lasting friendships with straight girls. Maybe the same thing could work with lesbians. If you explain to the guys that you dont want anything sexual from them, maybe they could be your buddies. You could go 'catting' together. Or not. If you talk about it all the time and its something they are uncomfortable with, maybe you should not talk about it when your straight friends are around. I dont know.

The gays and lesbians have a God-given right to live within their own society. But God does not want his children to be male/ male and female/ female. They can't even multiply, as per God's command.
