Could we really be alone in this big universe?

With the number of possible planets around all the stars in the many galaxies, and global clusters its seems very arrogant to assume that we are the only intelligent life forms in existence.

The famous Drake Equation addresses just this idea.
Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_Equation
It covers all the major variables. Of course until we find life on some other planet, moon, comet, or asteroid then we can never be sure that we are not unique.

I believe that there is more intelligent life in our universe and a lot more intelligent than we are right now. Look how far we on Earth have progressed just in the past 120 years. Just think if there is another intelligent life force out in the universe somewhere and that they are several million years ahead of us. Then again, if we on Earth are so intelligent then why are we slowly destroying our own planet?????

If God created a whole planet for us, I don't see why He couldn't have created the whole solar system and galaxy for us as well. God is a big thinker (Isaiah 55:9). You would think that if God did have neighbors for us, that there would be some mention about them in the Bible. If he meant for us to speculate about their existence, I think He would have made it clear. John 10:16 has been thought to refer to aliens (...sheep...not of this fold), but we don't know this for sure. It probably means another "fold" here on Earth. If you think about it, with colonization over time, galaxy after galaxy could be filled with human beings. Adam had the whole Earth to himself at one time before Eve came along. Adam must have thought, am I the only intelligent life form on this planet? Surely there must be life else where. But, that was not the case. But, over time, the Earth grew in population to what it is today. Now, what we have to start doing to this universe is what Adam started with Eve. We must continue multiplying more and more, and eventually move out to other stars. Of course, Revelation says it won't end that way, but that is because of Adam's mistake (hold back the debate for another question).

Well you judge for yourself but before you partake of the journey I send you on....keep in mind that you live in the milkyway galaxy and it has 200 billion suns in it, now be prepared to mesmerize your brain! When you have finished your tour you will be one of the very few who actually have some idea of how big the universe is!

Back? Estimates are there are as many galaxies in the universe as there are grains of sand on the face of the earth. Kinda hard to believe we are the only life aint it? When you look at the nite sky you are seeing stars in our milkyway galaxy...these pics you just saw are other galaxies!

Judging by the level of some questions in here, there has to be more intelligence somewhere!
