Why Jodie Foster started to play in commercial no-substance movies like Panic Room and Flightplan? Why she doesn't use her great talent anymore?

She actually started as a small child in t.v. commercials, so maybe it's a circle of some sort. ;)
Seriously though, I just saw FlightPlan and thought it was pretty good. Not great, but good enough.
Honestly, I just don't feel that the scripts are out there for someone of her caliber now, and she's likely taking the best she can find of the lot floating around.

Both those movies did fairly well at the box office so I would say Jodie knows what's best for Jodie and her so do her real fans.

Yeah I used to like Jodie Foster, but she's starting to annoy me too.
