Marijuana won't cause lung cancer I think is what you are looking for. There is a recent study that proved it. The scientist doing the study were a little shocked at the result.

There is a theory that that is true because one of the chemicals in marijuana might kill damaged lung cells before they become cancerous. But they really aren't sure.

I wish I had a link to the study. I'm just saying what I remember.

I have never heard that it can prevent cancer. I do know for a fact that it is given to patients who already have cancer. Mainly the terminally ill patients who there is no hope for. It is given to them by doctors and made legal for them to use it. It helps them with the pain and other effects of their illness. Sorry, I could not be of more help on the prevention thing, but I am pretty sure it is not true. If it had some effect on stopping cancer, then the people who smoke it that already have cancer would have some improvement while on it.

No Marijuana does not prevent cancer.
As a matter of fact , far from preventing it, since it is normally taken up through the lungs in the form of smoke, which invariably contains a lot of poisons like CO, CO2 and various carcinogenic substances, smoking marijuana could actually cause cancer.
It is smoked filter less and sometimes mixed with tobacco , which does nothing to reduce the risk of cancer.
Marijuana is however used medically as a therapy to combat the pain and other side effects such as nausea, loss of appetite, etc which are experienced as side effects of chemotherapy for patients who are under chemo treatment for cancer . Medically its normally not smoked though but taken up in form of pills.

No marijuana is not used to prevent cancer. Marijuana is used for chemotherapy patients which helps with the nausea. Also marijuana is used for glaucoma patients for periphal vision. There is not enough evidence to show marijuana prevents cancer. Here are some Facts & MYTHS about marijuana usage.

no, in fact it can cause lung cancer because it has the same if not more (depending on if its swag or kind) carcinogens as cigarettes. The reason why cancer patents take it is because it induces the hippocampus ( the structure in the brain responsible for instinctual hunger, among many things) to give the smoker munchies! In some people it can cause you to be even more nauseous depending on how it effects your hippocampus. Cancer patients aren't really worried about getting cancer, Its kinda like... Been there done that... for them

Can't say that I have heard that one! But I have heard that marijuana is given to cancer patients to smoke. It puts cancer patients in a more open and happier state of mind. Now that's just what I have heard, don't take my word for it!

That is a ridiculous idea. Get that idea out of your head.

Marijuana is however helpful to treat the adverse affects of certain cancer therapies, and I think that may be the sourse of your confusion. It is also helpful with some people with the signs and symptoms of MS.

No, just rumor. No studies have confirmed anything like that.

Cigarettes contain a thousand more carcinogens then pot because they were made that way!!! Phillip Morris used herion's additciveness as a bench mark for their cigarettes, they intentionally used chemicals to ulter human brain to make then more addictive then herion. These chemicals also cause cancer.
