It also depends on if it is a two piece or a one piece. The top should be assembled first, being very careful with the slate. Lift one END put on the legs, lift other end put on the legs. Let the table settle for at least 24 hours, then place a level on one end balance, other end balance, one side balance other side balance. Then check diagonally. Wait a few days and do this again.
