Well I follow these guidelines
I throw out my bra when:
The color begins to fade
The elastic is not working well
It has shrunk
It is getting worn
The thread is coming off
Or when I get tons of new better bras! :)

Depends on how many you have and how often you wear the same one. I have found a bra that I would wear the majority of the time would last about two years before the elastic went. Good quality bra though.

found this for you -
"It generally depends on how often you wash and wear them. Bras are not designed to last a lifetime so it is important to check for signs of deterioration. These include loss of stretch in the elastics, misshapen wires, holes, etc. If any of these appear on your bra it is time to throw it away. If you want to get longer life from your bras then we recommend hand washing and drying on a line. A machine washed and tumble dried bra will typically last around 6 months, and a hand washed line dried bra around 50% longer."

That depends how often you wash it and whether you wash it by
hand or in the washing machine,Also do not throw it in the dryerand it will last longer. You should always have several bras on hand, i probably have 30-40, of course that depends how old you are, and whether your breast have stopped growing

I am pretty sure that you should buy new bras every few months. Maybe every six months? I think I read this in Cosmopolitan magazine.
