smoke started coming out the back of the truck... then i drove it for another 5 min and nothing happend..
the smoke has never happend before...
what could it be...

Most Likely, at that elevated temp (high speeds = high temps), the oil heated and expanded, and any oil leaks in the engine, although plugged by "dryed" oil when the engine is not extremely hot, could have leaked out due to the oil that plugged the leaks being heated(melted). The oil that leaked out would have been vaporized and burned (smoke). YOU NEED TO HAVE AN OIL PRESSURE GUAGE ON YOUR CAR, AND BE SURE TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT! As long as you have oil pressure, you are fine to keep driving and the engine is not being harmed. If oil pressure decreases to a dangerous level, stop and add oil. You should have a mechanic check out your engine block for leaks (watch as he does this to make sure he doesnt sabotage your engine - go to EZLUBE if you can(they only do oil changes; they would have no incentive in sabotaging your engine)). You dont need to fix anything, unless you are losing a lot of oil, quickly.

My husband always tells me it is good once in awhile to blow the sut out a car, but if the smoke happens one to many times you your engine may be going bad,

it"s a ford should have stayed at 55.just kidding sound"s like you have a bad compression ring getting blow by , burning oil rebuild the engine .

If it was coming from the exhaust, could be burning oil, valve stem seal, bad rings, gasket....
