In my part of the country(US) the issue was poeple taking offense to too many American flags bieng displayed in the town of Amherst,MA.( I am not making this up!)

Idk. I was in school and we didn't get to see anything about it. Obviously learning some frivolous lesson was more important that a major worldwide tragedy! Jeesh!
