i can't remember the names or anything but it was a series set in kind-of medieval times, about people who could communicate with animals and they were discriminated against? i am not for sure but i think that the main female character in one of them that i read was actually a princess but ostracized because her mother ( maybe?) was one of the ones who communicated with the animals...most of them had only one kind of animal but a few special ones had several species they could communicate with. plz help im desperate to find these books!!

Sounds like Jennifer Roberson's Cheysuli series. They are great books. Her Sword-Dancer books are great too.

If you like the Cheysuli books try Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books.

Your book don't sound familiar, but go to the library and ask a librarian, some (the older ones) can be very helpful. And if you can't get the book from there, try Google, give them as much information as you can.
