Its not that they are ignorant. It's like trying to tell your boss you want him to work for you.. At this point Washington has become so corrupt with porkbarrel legislation running so amuck that it's becoming harder to tell what the hell is being signed for and what is just smoke and mirrors.. Replace all the dinosaurs on capitol hill and MAYBE we'll make some progress. But then again, this nation is founded on capitalism more than anything else so even ousting all the dinosaurs may not do the trick.

They aren't ignorant, they just aren't wrapped up in conspiracy theories. Of course big companies try to get legislation passed for their benefit, so do labor unions, & minority groups, & religious groups, & issue organizations like the NRA, & every other lobbying base. It's part of the process, but they don't control anything, & voters always see the result & have a choice of whot to vote for in the next primary & general election.

not really ignorant of it. Competing causes and rights including those of corporations is what makes the wheels on our government turn. Money is a part of it but not the whole of it. If any one interest group took over from all the rest of course, the wheels would fall off.

These same transnational companies pay money into political coffers, advertise to the masses and produce jobs, so trying to rail against them is difficult for the average person despite the adverse influence they can project, e.g. drug companies.

Mainly because they are very busy with the mundane living. Keeping their job and doing well in a society where there's hardly any job security. Taking care of children where there's hardly community suoort. And then "chilling" in escapist TV shows.

most people in any country are do well informed of there governments polices and conduct most people believe what they are told and bush like to keep this stupidity and power crazed government to him self .
if you were the president of the worlds biggest power base I'm sure you would turn a blind eye to where the money to keep you there came from .
