No, "back" is redundant.

In reply to the other comments, any idiot can say whatever he/she wants in the English language but that doesn't make it "correct" to write it in a way that doesn't make sense.

Is Revert Back Correct English

This is another example of where spoken English differs from written English. "Revert back" is common in conversation and probably wouldn't even draw a second glance. However, "back" is technically redundant since "revert" already contains the notion of "back" so if you're writing an essay, especially an English essay, just use "revert".

As per the Dictionary, revert means :-
to come or go back

Therefore, writing "revert back" amounts to repeating the word "back" - so its superfluous and we can simply write "revert"

e.g. "I shall revert to you in a week's time "

It is more incorrect in written language than in spoken language, and it is unnecessary. It is called a redundancy, or a tautology, but redundancies are very common in spoken English, and part of the regular language of everyday life. It is not a major error to use it, but it might indicate that you are not paying close attention to the meaning of what you are writing. I would avoid using it, particularly in writing.

Revert will do. It implies that it comes back.
