how to make a water turbine which is easy ,cheap&simple?

i want it for my holiday homework as to submit in school just after 2 days

i no somebody who uses the motor out of an old washer and has water constantly pouring through it to use on his pond. all he does is turn it on to start with to get it going and let gravity do the rest.
