What do you think the "i" means?

It does not officially stand for anything. There were a wave of products and services available out that started with "e" for electronic ... such as e-mail, e-commerce etc. Apple originally slated the now famous i-pod to be named the e-pod, until some wise person realized that e-pod spelled backwards was "DOPE."

I dont know exactly when mac adopted the i at the start of the names but it must be from IT integrated technology?? just guessing myself. I have a Powerbook and 2-Powermacs. They work great and are easy too use. OSX is a very intuitive platform.
