At first I had the "Jesus theory" about the song too. I thought he meant that Jesus left the glory of heaven "The stars that pierce the sky, he left them all behind" so he could come to lay down his life. And he's going to come back but they're asking why he left us all behind. But then I realized they probably werent talking about that. I think they meant that this man wants to die so his beauty can be preserved. But then again.....I don't know, I have my own personal meaning of the song.

To me, it sound like he's saying Jesus left people behind, but that may not be the case. They could of meant something else. IDK, that's just what I thought the song meant. I got the notion from the lines "With just a look, they shook, and heavens bowed down before him. Simply a look, can break, your heart." and the part, of course, "He left them all behind." I dunno, that's just my opinion. But if that's what the song is about, I can say I disagree with them. But I like the song overall. Anyway, does anyone agree or disagree with what I think it means? I'd like hearing other people's thoughts on the song as well.

the reason to this song has many reasons i think...
i think that he is talking about killing himself to keep his beauty because god left him behind and promised to come back for him but never did
