Well, first of all, if you just set up your website last week you can't expect to already be in the top 1,000 in any search engine.

There are millions and millions of sites on the internet and to break into the top 100,000 would be a major feat after years on the internet.

Now, keep in mind that you can 'buy' your placement on most of the search engines but if you are like most of us, who wants to spend money.

Submit your site once per month to the major search engines, go ahead and submit it to the less known engines about once every two weeks.

What ever you do - don't waste your time placing ads on free for all (FFA) websites as you will get nothing more than junk email in return for your efforts.

Research and find all the free directories you can to list your site based upon the kind of business site you have.

Make sure you have proper key words in your meta tag on the home page of your website. (HTML codes)

Be patient - promote your site when ever and where ever you can on the internet. You should spend 70% of your time promoting your website. (70% of your time on the computer that is - don't forget you have a life, more than likely another job, etc.)

As the others have told you, it is not unusual to take 3-6 months before you start showing up on the search engines naturally, but there are some other things you can do that will help...the biggest is to get links into your site. Rather than submitting to the search engines directly, get a link from sites that are already listed. That way when the bots spider the site already listed, they'll find your site. Now how do you get listed on another site? There's a bunch of different ways--

1) Do you have any existing sites already listed in the search engines? If so put a link to your new site from your other site(s). Don't go overboard though...that's spamming.

2) Go to the search engines and use keywords like "Add link" or "add URL" to find directories that you may be able to add your site to.

3) Submit articles to sites, publishers, article directories (like ezinearticles.com). Sites love content...especially if it's good content. If your skill is graphic design, write an informative article on graphic design. Make sure you include a resource box at the end with a blurb about you and/or your website and link it to your website.

That should keep you busy.

First of all, just because you submitted your site doesn't mean it will rank at all. Are your pages optimized? You can not expect to rank for any terms until you do. The first search engine you should be in is MSN. It is the fastest and easiest to optimize for. Do not submit your site to the engines more than one. Once they find your site they will come back on their own.

What can you do to make sure your site is fully indexed?
Make sure you have little or minimal java
Clean design
create a site map and submit it to Google
Work on backlinks. Without backlinks you will not rank well in the engines.

From what I see your keyword tag is wrong. Take it out. Engines do not use them anymore.

Why all the "@" on your site? That can confuse people and the engines.

Learn how to use title tags correctly.

There is much more that needs to be done and a lot for you to learn. See the links below for more info

Hi, after you submit your website to major search engine like Yahoo, Google and MSN. It takes time to come in the search. It can take six months to a year to come in the major search engine list. But still there is no guarantee that your website will be listed. Yahoo has got one scheme in which if you pay $300 to Yahoo then they include your website in about 48 hours.
Another option is "Traffic Machine" it works for ANYONE
- no matter what product, service, or information you sell.
The targeted traffic it brings you is as good or better than anything you could pay for... except you don't have to pay for it.
It brings Thousands of NEW visitors to your website for weeks, months, even years.
BECAUSE NO TRAFFIC MEANS NO SALE

Hope this helps.
