A dark charcoal Grey would be awesome, looks almost black, along with some silver or Grey metallic color above the darker color to highlight the brow bone, along with the metallic Grey/silver rimming your lower eyelid with this along with some either smoky black eyeliner on the bottom or white eyeliner to make your eyes totally "pop", hope this helps.
If you have never used a dark charcoal Grey color go easy at first cause the color can be over whelming if over used.

I have a friend that is a great make up artist.....ironically she just did make up for a student for prom that wore a read and white gown. She used a plummish kind of color with white on the eyes and a prettyish pinkish plum on the lips. MAC cosmetics the best. It would be difficult to match the red shadow with the exact color red of your dress. You could always do a nice golden colored shadow and the right shade of red lipstick! Contrast!

Never match red eyeshadow with a red dress!!
Go with smoky colors such as deep browns, grays or blacks with a hint of silver spakly shadow at the edges of your eyes to add a little flair.

the dress will be an attention getter for your body, so make the face simple by keeping eye makeup neutral with beige shadows and lots of dark mascara and some RED hot lip color...you will be the star of this party!

Ok a hot pink that's almost red use it to go with your dress. For blush you get rosy colors to put on.By putting on the blush it will define your cheekbones and make them look really hot.For your lips get a red lipliner and outline your lips. And then you get a really light gloss that has a little bit of reddish-pinkish tone in it.

Do NOT match eyeshadow to your outfit.
Match it to your eye color. For example, to bring out brown eyes, use something like a plum eyeliner with a lilac shadow and dark mascara.

Don't upstage your dress with bright makeup. Keep it low key instead. That red dress is a good opportunity to put the smoky eyes look to good use.

Pinks, browns or neutral eyeshadows should work great with your dress. It just depends on your complexion and the rest of the makeup you will be wearing (blush, etc.).

Or... play down your eyes, just some light reflecting concealer to cover dark circles, and some good black mascara, but use a good red lipstick?

Make it a smokey eye, that looks good with back shoes. Apply
light shade of grey or light black lightly around the eye.
