My family owns house in Union Pier Michigan. Last year my grandfather gave us his boat that he kept in Peoria IL. It's a 17 foot bass boat with a Johnson 70 horsepower outboard motor. The house is right on the lake. The boat is too small for Lake Michigan but too big for the Galien River. We currently fish on the St. Joseph river, we launch in Buchanan Michigan about 20 miles away but the river is damed off in a lot of places and all we really catch there is carp and bluegills. We are looking for a river that is big enough for our boat that is of dscent length?

Most Michigan rivers are too shallow for a boat and motor that size. You should try some of Michigan's inland lakes like Higgins Lake, Houghton Lake, Sanford Lake or even Lake Saint Claire. If you're dead set on river fishing then try some of the deeper river waters in southern Michigan. All of these are great for walleye and bass. If you're lucky you might come across a steelhead in the cold water. Best luck fishing!! Wish I was doing the same!

I stay in Oakland County, and that i've got met shallow/caught up women from right here from new money communities like Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and Beverly Hills, (vs previous money Royal Oak, Grosse Pointes, Huntington Woods). yet there are a lot of those varieties of grils from Macomb County, from North Warren and Sterling Heights. Wayne County probably does not have the snuddiness that OC and MC have because of the better inhabitants of blue collar households and are likely down-to-earth.
