Many of those from older generations do not. It just has to do with how segregated they were from each other back in the day. Black people where never welcomed in Italian neighborhoods and vice versa. I think it was because at the time they where both at the bottom of the totem pole, and where competing with each other for jobs, social status, and the such.

Yes, my mother is Italian American and I have known several Italians in my lifetime and many do have a problem with blacks. Especially New York Italians. Spike Lee puts that in his movies a lot the tension between blacks and Italians. Armando gave you a good reason as to why.

Then you have Italians that love blacks like Robert Deneiro. He loves black women and has a child with a black woman. If you are a hot black woman all you have to do is hang out where he is at and he will hit you up in a minute.

Actually every race hates black people. I would say 99% of the non-black world hates blacks. I'm from Jamaica and my best friend is Italian, been friends for 20 years. His parents loved me, his sisters too, i used to eat over here alot. My parents loved him. But he belongs in the 1%. I grew up in a mostly white neighborhood, I remember hanging out with kids on the block growing up and their parents wouldn't let me inside, but let the other kids in. It was funny because my Dad was a cop, the only one in our neighborhood, but they thought i would steal something cause i'm black. Hopefully the next generation isn't like the one I grew up in.

Black people don't even seem to like black people so I wouldn't be surprised. At least black Americans.

I AM ITALIAN ...ACTUALLY 50% BUT MY MOM WAS BORN IN ITALY AND IS FROM THERE AND SHE DOESN'T " HATE " OR " DISLIKE " BLACK PEOPLE. SHE ACTUALLY TAUGHT ME GROWING UP TO BE TOLERANT OF EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD, THAT I AM NO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. I THINK THAT IF ANYONE HATED ANYONE ELSE FOR THEIR RACE, SOLELY THAT REASON ALONE, THEN THEY NEED HELP, SERIOUSLY!!!! THAT'S INEXCUSABLE
