That is tricky... If you know the places you are going to go, use mapquest or yahoo maps, or google earth and you should be able to print out some suff that will help, but there isn't some online atlas you can just print out. And I'm an not sure you would want to if there was. printing color of teh US would use lots of paper and ink... You would better off just buy a US raod atlas from AAA or RandNcnally or one of the other big travel companies. Everytime I take a big road trip I get a fresh one. They aren't very expensive. ($10)

I also don't know of a site that has the whole of the U.S. on one map, but I do know that the depart of transportation for Tennessee has an up to date map of roads. So maybe other states have the same and then you could compile.
