newspaper publishers keep microfilm records of past editions, contact them and ask if you can search through them to find what you are looking for.

Go to your local newspaper and ask to go to the morgue. This is where they keep copies of everything from the time they started publishing the paper. They will let you look it up and have a copy. I am not sure if there is a fee involved.

if you know the newspaper it was in,you may be able to find that article in that newspaper`s hometowns library, in microfiche archives,I did some research like this,several years ago.if you know the day of the robbery,the less searching youll have to do.

Most Libraries can accomodate your needs..they have news papers on file or computer dating back to whenever you need..
