Kelly!!!! She is the one and only TRUE American Idol! She was the fisrt the best and she is awesome. She has some great songs and lyrics. And is doing fine out in the world of music today. All she needed was help to get out in the music world and thats what American Idol did for her. She is the best American Idol we will ever see. Yes the other ones maybe good to cuz durhh they won the show but she's the ultimate. Also this year i swear it was rigged im mad still cuz Chris or Ace didn't win. Or Kat for that matter. Cuz Taylor should NOT have won. Who wants to see him in a music video on mtv ne wayz?

Since you said best and not most successful, I vote for Fantasia, I wonder what happened to her it is like she evaporated or something, hope she didn't get Ruebon's manager, poor guy got robbed by someone he was suppose to trust!
Hey but they are all great even the runners up and all, I love American Idol. Fantasia is an entertainer just like Taylor Hicks, they should do a show together that would be AWESOME!

I think Kelly Clarkson is definitely the most successful, but I believe Carrie Underwood has the best voice out of any of them. Give her a few more years and she'll really wow everybody. She's the next Shania Twain.

Totally Kelly. She is just fantastic. She has a beautiful voice, great range, she can sing all kinds of different songs, she can bring the ecstacy or pain of the song alive in her voice. She rocks!
Carrie is second.
