My boyfriend and I will be travelling to India for about 10 days next week. All our accommodations have already been paid for, so we're left with limited funds. We don't intend to spend much but a couple of our friends are real party goers and I assume we'd be doing a lot of that. Could anyone help me figure out how much I would need in Rupees?

Either limit your spending, including partying, within your budget or have unlimited spending for two of you.
An amount of Rs. 50,000/= should be a decent sum for two of you for ten days. Now, you can even manage within 1/10 of this or there are plentiful avenues to spend 10 times of this amount in ten days in India. Choice would be yours.

Hi, its great to know that you are travelling to India. It really depends on the places which you are visiting, since you have said that you have already paid for your accomodation now you are left with money for partying and your daily meals. The average price what a best disco charges for a couple is 3000/- that is 1500/- per person. And the price ranges from 500-1000/- for any other good disco. So you can decide how many days you need to party.
Now you are left with meals, if you have it included it in your accomodation then well and good, but if you have not then there are plenty of good restaurants any place you visit. On an average a decent meal can cost you upto 500-600/- per meal for a couple.
So it comes upto around 4000/- on an average per day for a couple which includes partying virtually every night. So you would require around 30000-35000/- for a peaceful 10 day visit.

India can be as reasonable as you want it to be. Decide on a budget and then let it dictate what are the places you could go to. A lot of it will depend on the places you plan to visit. If you are staying in a hotel that has a disco your entry is free but drinks will be about 200 to 600 bucks per drink with appitizers around halfway that. You will find pubs and sports bars and lounges that are also in the 100 to 400 price range. Calculate 100-150$ per day per couple. You will do it for less but then you can have the satisfaction of knowing you are under budget. Have a great time.
