Vicodin is Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen- it is prescribed for pain
Norco is Hydrocodone Barbiturate and Acetaminophen- It is different from Vicodin and is usually prescribed for coughing associated with flu or heavy colds. Hydrocodone barbiturate is an anti-tussive meaning it helps quiet coughs.

They both have the same medications in them, they are just prescribed for two different things, actually they are the same.
