I like to just run. Nowhere in particular. It clears the mind and I heard the endorphins you get from exercise has a calming effect. I jogged after hours of studying in college. It also cleared my mind and made problems/questions more clear once I returned from my workout.
The worse thing is to sit and dwell on your problems. So get up and get active.
One other thing was to go to a concert or sporting event where you can yell 'til you get a hoarsed voice. It never hurts to just pick up the phone and call someone close to you to just unload and get it off your chest. That way you can keep on talking about fun things that make you happy.
What ever you do don't over eat or get drunk. That is only temporary and you'll feel worse afterwards.

Best of luck and get out and do something active!
