while in college or grad school? What were the ups and downs? Did it work out for you? Would you do it again if given the choice?

I married my high school sweetheart about 8 months ago. (I'm 25 now) We have been together since I was 13 years old. (on and off) It makes it extremely difficult, but aside from school, you have to ask yourself whether or not you are ready for that kind of commitment. 8 months ago I would have said "YES!" knowing that my husband wasn't the going out type - but then, neither was I. But.... I realized that in being with him and not going out like most girls my age were, that I was missing out on a big part of my life. Now ... I really wish that I waited. I love him with all of my heart, but I feel stuck in my marriage. I feel like I was too young, or inexperienced to get married.

I married really young, 18 going on 19, not in college though, just getting into the miltary. the ups were thst we were both still young,,. so our relationship was still full of life, and excitement... but then the immaturity kicked in, and my husband began to do a lot of dumb things, not coming home, drinking way too much, cheating, and eventually abuse. The cons definitely outweighed the pros, and that sucked, becuase I gave up everything to be with him, even got into it with my parents for not approving of him! So, no, it didn't work out, but if he would've chosen a different path for his life, then maybe it could've been different...If given the choice to do it again, and I was able to marry my first love, then yes I would do it again. Not every couple that marries yound is destined to fail, and I believe you can make it if both parties are willing to try

I got married at 18, my husband was 16. I was preggo. and five years later, I still fall in love with him everytime he smiles at me. And we have a 2nd kid. It just depends on what your circumstances are. We've never lived without our parents tho, but it works out for us, neither of us can seem to find a good job in this shix hole of a town that we live in. We've had some serious fights, our kids are a pain in the neck, and I call him every two minutes while he's trying to work...but we really love each other, so we deal with everything. And I would marry him all over again...but I would leave more than 7 months to try to learn everything about him....I wouldn't have ran away from home....and I would have went to college and gotten a nicely paying job and gotten my own place.

I got married at the age of 19....I wasn't in school but I did obtain my GED while dating my wonderful hubby....he has encouraged me to go back to school but I don't know what I want to do....I would do it all over again if I could....We have been married for a little over a year and everything is great....I think it all depends on the ppl that get married not how old they are when they get married because everyone matures at a different age or rate

Wow, where do I start. I was 22 and he was20 both in college, and me pregant at that time. At first it was hell, we live with his mom, and then my mom. Yes, it was hard, then we move own our own, they say the person you date is very different when you get married, found that to be so, so, true. Late on everything start getting better. Still have up and down now. If I had a choice to do it again....forgive my french " Hell No".
