I think the way that they played against the US was an outrage!!! and the refs bought into it!!! I'm not saying that that's the only reason the U.S lost, but it was a MAJOR reason. The U.S team was so Sportsmanlike. I'm very proud of them.

And soccer is not new here... the U.S were semi-finalists in the '30 world cup... they lost to Argentina

Until the Lions of Africa start talking all you will have is the tales of the hunters!
The issue is not Ghana dove to win for that's part of the game,diving, using hands to score and so forth have happened in the past and will happen in the future.
The USA just needs to improve it's domestic league.PERIOD. One game will not bring the cup home. And if you deny yourselves a critical look at your weaknesses then you will not improve.
The MAJOR reason USA lost is they did not score more goals...you can not bank on other team's benevolence to win games! You play them into submission by scoring more goals than them!!

Can I get a hit of what you are smoking? Team USA did not play with the same enthusiasm as Ghana did. I bet your cry about the tie with italy as well, surprised that is not posted here as well.
It seems that fans of Team USA want to have 25 refs on the field to ensure that the game is in their favor.
And it does sound like that is only reason
Face it, 90% of all Americans STILL dislike soccer and it will take a very long time for USA to reach the fianls or even win.

Ghana deserved the place they got in the knock out phase of the world cup.Ghana has a very strong team this year and they have certainly earned their stripes..if i am correct they got to the world cup at the top of their qualifying group...let's not forget the fact that they beat Czech Republic.They play a different style of football to the US football team but that doesn't make their style wrong...just different.The US team just wasn't good enough in that match to beat them and that's football...

USA was never good enough to qualify from the group. Ghana thoroughly deserved its place in the sun. The match they played against the Czechs was the greatest performance ever put together by an african side.

the wway the played against the checs made me shocked i think if you have the motivation in which team american did not, then you do not deserve it
team america did not seem to have the motivation, the team chemistry or the drive and will to win a game, it almost seemed like a burden to them
