I don't think it's appropriate for a family-orientied site.

I just had to comment about the answer above that says:
"Being an international site, Yahoo can not afford to discriminate against or be racist to anyone."
When did gay become a race?
Now to answer the question.
Sounds like maybe there are a few rainbow flags in the Yahoo main office! If you know what I mean!
Oh here I go getting in trouble with Yahoo again, what am I thinking? That freedom of speech thing was repealed by Yahoo wasn't it?

How about Gay Humility day. I don't like proud people.
I don't care what you do or who you are, that doesn't give you the right to be arrogant.
So what does that mean? If I work with a gay guy and normally we get along fine and have no trouble, but then he decides he gets to be arrogant just because its Gay Pride day, how is that good.
I don't like proud people.

it isn't right for ANYONE to promote "Gay Pride Day", least of all a public website that's designed for families.
well, the day of wrath is coming, and it's going to be very bad...

They promote lots of holidays and events. Nothing wrong with them choosing to promote this one as well.

And why wouldn't they be right? If you were selling something would it really matter to you who bought it? Or would you just want to sell it to who ever will buy it? Keep in mind that if you pick and choose who buys it you will go broke.
