The 5 universally recognised symbols of peace are:
1) A flown white flag
2) 2 fingers held up, the index and second, and parted to form a 'V'
3) The nuclear disarmament (ND) symbol made from a circle with one line down the centre diameter, and two running the radius from just below the dead center to the outside at degrees 135 and 225 of the circumference.
4) A white dove
5) The origami paper crane
6) A rainbow
7) An olive branch
These are in order of recognisability globally, although more people know the ND symbol than the finger symbol in the western world as a result of the peace movement.
