i want to start a comic franchise like Stan Lee creator of marvel comics like Spider-Man but how do i start?

thats a tough one man. a lot of companies have come and gone in the last 10 years or so. i'd say that you'd be best off to start doing your own comics with ppl you know. once you've got something that you fee like you can stand behind, i'd go to one of those comic conventions that all the real deal comic collectors and nutcases go to. lol. (thats a broad generalization, but its kinda true. i went to one with my girlfriends kid brother. holy crap. some of those people are off their nut. but most of them were pretty cool folks). theres always ppl there that are trying to break into the business, and they'd be able to tell you what to do.

also, check out wizard magazine, they usually have pointers for ppl trying to get into indy comics. if you do a search, i'm sure you can find the back issues that have all that stuff in them. good luck man, and if you get anywhere with it, let me know how you do. i was the president of the art club in high school, i bet it would be fun to draw a comic.

Well first you would want to start with good origin story. And then keep writing little short stories that become the issues. You might want to find a someone to do the illustration and then when you have your prototype issue you try to get it published. You could even run it by Marvel or DC.

Build the universe in which your characters live...then the stories you would like to write...then the characters will announce themselves along the way. I keep diaries for each of my characters during the process which makes it easy for me to write them when the first two stages are finished.
